So you have decided to bring a beagle into your home. Owning a beagle is a 10 to 15 plus year commitment.
Beagles are friendly, outgoing, responsive, loving dogs, who are built to face rough and ready children as well as hunt in
the fridged cold winters with ease. Beagle's are equipped with a vocal ability to match their superior noses. This may not
set well with neighbors who do not particularly enjoy the beautiful singing of your beagle. This is one trait, I found in
my experiences, that can be fairly easily corrected with proper training and rewards. After all, the quickest way to
a beagle's heart is through it's belly. beagle's also have a few undesirable traits. Many beagle's are difficult to potty-train.
If you have had a puppy or dog who has had accidents in the past, I suggest an outstanding steam cleaning of all carpets in
the house as a beagle's nose can detect scents that are way beyond what humans can smell, and they will use the area as their
bathroom. Beagles also tend to be a bit stubborn when itcomes to training, as long as there is a tasty treat involved, You
probably won't have much for problems. I hope you enjoy the site. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
